Each Friday, following the 8:00AM Mass, Eucharistic Adoration takes place in the Church (8:30AM-9:30AM) concluding with Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. All are welcome!
Why a HOLY HOUR before Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament?
Jesus Christ is truly present – Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity! He is present there for us to manifest His great love for us. It does not replace the Mass – the Lord’s Day and attendance at Mass must be first and primary – but Adoration adds to that experience and helps us grow closer to the Lord.
Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament has His hands full of graces, and He is ready to bestow them on anyone who asks for them.” – St. Peter of Alcantara
What is Eucharistic Adoration?
Eucharistic Adoration is an expression of our love for Jesus, Who for love of us humbled Himself by making Himself present under the appearance of bread in the consecrated host. For He said, “Behold I am with you always” (Mt. 28:20). We respond to this love by spending a quiet holy hour of prayer with Jesus exposed in the Most Blessed Sacrament. This hour of prayer may be spent reading the Bible or your favourite prayer book, praying the rosary, interceding, giving thanks or simply sitting and enjoying the peace that comes from being in the presence of the One who loves you the most.
